Четырехмесячный пес сбежал от хозяев, живущих в графстве Нортгемптоншир, и потерялся. Он спрятался под машиной и, как считают в полиции, мешал безопасности движения. Когда щенка попытались извлечь, он дважды укусил стража порядка.
Полицейский не получил серьезных повреждений, но вынужден был обратиться в больницу. Животное арестовали на основании «Акта об опасных собаках» от 1991 года, передает РИА Новости со ссылкой на местные СМИ.
Хозяева щенка считают, что он был напуган, и намерены через юристов добиться освобождения питомца. Соответствующая кампания с хештегом #FreeBungle (Bungle — кличка собаки) идет в соцсетях.

At the end of August we took home Bungle, our new puppy Chow Chow to join our family. My wife, son and 2 Newfoundland dogs welcomed Bungle and invested lots of time and energy in training him to be a good dog (puppy party at our vets, attending puppy training classes, walked every day and socialised at events in the village and visiting shops etc). On Saturday 17th November, having returned from our latest puppy training class, Bungle had a mishap. He followed my wife’s car out of the automatic gates before they could close. Unbeknown to us, he found himself alone and lost on the A508. The public were amazing. While Bungle coward in fear beneath a lorry efforts were made to rescue him and return him to his home. We were first told of his escape when friends saw a posting on FaceBook asking for help. While Bungle was less than minute from our house, i was unable to get a message of his exact whereabouts before Bungle was taken away. We understand a police officer and dog warden apprehend Bungle forcefully with a blanket and noose. We are devastated that during that process Bungle bit the police officer twice as the frightened pup tried to ‘protect himself’. We are so sorry for any injuries caused. While the police officer we understand was keen to over look the biting incident, understanding the natural reaction of a puppy in the circumstances, and wanted to reunite Bungle with his home asap….the dog warden insisted on taking Bungle to kennels under the Dangerous Dogs Act. Once we found out Bungle’s whereabouts we were told by the kennels we could not see him. On eventually being contacted by the police on Monday, we were told „Bungle is now evidence“. We were informed he had been moved to a location that cannot be shared and that based on current case loads and timing of Xmas, we would not likely see Bungle again until New Year»

As young puppies do when they are scared, Bungle nipped a police officer who tried to capture him when he accidentally escaped and ended up on a main road.
